Timing both days at 9.30pm.
You can buy the ticket from Virgin Megastore. When i went there this morning the ticket havent arrive yet. The price range from QR 150 to QR 500

The tickets haven't arrived ...The tickets haven't arrived yet??? They advertised this last week,huge ad in the Gulf Times. Meant to get tickets over the weekend but never got over there. Glad I didn't go out of my way.
BTW, I could swear the first ad said 8 pm. Today's says 9:30. Or am I just having another middle-aged memory lapse?? lol
Anyway, thanks for the update! Guess I should call and make sure they actually have tickets before I fight the traffic!

Both ads on Peninsula and Gulf Times said 9.30 :-) Believe me !!! Lol

Qatar Symphony ...Hi Novita; just wanted to clear that this concert isn't for Qatar Symphony Orchestra which will come sometime end of this year. this is the premier of Qatar Symphony which is a musical composition written to tell the story of Qatar in a symphony. the orchestra which will perform is not the same as the Qatar Ochestra. they are 85 professional musicians who will gather in Doha for this event and then leave. I guarantee you that you will enjoy it. it's a life time chance to actually witness the premier of a symphony.

Noor, dress as you would for ...Noor, dress as you would for any other special evening occasion. "Smart", but not formal. You will see a range of different dress styles, though, from casual to dressy.
The tennis courts will be transformed into a performance hall, with a stage and theater-type seating.
Which brings me to my burning question:
Does anyone know WHY they do this, instead of using the National Theatre? I've been to the National Theatre once, and it was very nice. Why do they go through all the trouble of hauling all that equipment into a tennis court, instead of using a venue that was designed for this type of event???

yes i been few times to Qatar National Theathre, watched the Doha Players performance months back and the last one was Guy Manoukian concert. Me honestly think Qatar National Theatre seating capacity alot less then Ritz indoor tennis court.

the dress code is like any other opera house in the world (formal). Qatar National theatre is very small in terms of stage and seating capacity unfortunatly and Ritz carlton is not a sponsor. it is a really nice event and you shouldn't miss it.

Fabulous concert cant stop playing CD. Is there any chance they will repeat it anywhere in Doha my husband was so fed up he missed it when he played CD and I and many others would love to hear it again. I do hope composer has a huge success on his hands he deserves it.
If anyone can ,send him our congratulations
