Ticket prices are FREE - GRATIS! You collect your tickets at the entrance stall each day and then you sit on the open stands. Great stuff!

Enjoy the tennis - see you there!

Doesn't look like the field of players have been announced yet, or the timetable. Probably best to keep an eye on the Qatar Tennis Federation web site, or the ATP one which is probably more likely to be updated and be more reliable.

I love this game like nuts. I usually buy the ticket and find shelter there, and stick to my seat until I am kicked out...:))

I'm more of a rugby and football guy myself, but I'll watch any sport that's on and it would be rude not to go and watch some of the world's best tennis players when they're on your doorstep, especially when it's so cheap!

Good news about the Women's tennis as well;

::SONY ERICSSON CHAMPIONSHIPS AWARDED TO DOHA, QATAR for 2008-2010 ::
Qatar will stage the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) end-of-season championships from 2008 to 2010 with the eventual champion to pick up the biggest winner's cheque in women's tennis history. The victor will take home $1.485 million out of record total prize money pot of $4.45 million, equal to that of the ATP's season-ending Masters Cup, the WTA said.

Happy Happy said tallg....Rugby/ Men and Women's Tennis! ...

Rugby! well, sorry to shock you, but I only saw it on TV, never seen or tried it in real life.

On another note, tennis tournaments in Doha are hilarious. Top world seeds are just walking by you. But that doesn't matter much to me; it’s the beauty of the game.

And if you get front row seats, holy moly! it's a Joyful experience.

especially its free

Happy Happy's picture

Happy Happy said khfree...Yes Free Tennis Tickets Daily ...

True. The event is for free for those who like. You can get the free tickets from Khalifa Complex on a daily basis. But sometimes they run out of them if you're late.

There is another option, is to pay for a comprehensive ticket for all the games. It costs around 400 QR (as I recall from last year). This was you can guarantee the front row seat.

Have fun
Salam

I am excited about this. I am gonna' watch. Tennis is actually not my cup of tea, but hey, it's top-notch players, and best of all it's FREE! It could be a good alternative to watching volleyball and basketball. Too bad these sports are not big here in Qatar. Bright side of it is that I'm going to develop new interests. :)

^ Yeap, it has! Jan. 1-5.

I hate it! I can't make it even in the finals. I can't fly to Doha until the end of the month. Sad... Will have to rely on Doha Stadium Magazine, then. By the way, will this be covered on cable?

Happy Happy said How do you like the games so far? ...

I loved Murray and Davydenko yesterday, other than that, not much excitement!

The weather is very pleasant. Last year was very windy and rainy, the area surrounding Khalifa Complex was so muddy.

Johansson was upset yesterday, while competing against Murray, because some spectators’ cell phone ringing was disturbing, he yelled at the referee in resentment! He should go to the movies here in Doha to Enjoy the REAL "stillness"!

Happy Happy said tallg...I was on TV..:))! ...

While the games were on, phone calls started flocking from Cairo (from my family) saying "hey you're on TV, we're not watching the games, we’re looking for you amongst the spectators"

It was so funny that I watched myself in the replays on Jazeera Sports..:)

But I don't see myself in the pictures you just sent. tallg. Guess Murray overstaged us all..:))

Thanks
Salaam

Haha! Nice one HH! I didn't take many spectator shots unfortunately. I got carried away with the on-court action instead.
