The Mall Cinema
The Qatar Red Crescent and Nabka 60 have organised a number of cultural events surrounding the Palestinian Nakba ("Catastrophe"). Titled "Fragments of a Journey" the events include:
- Palestine Film Festival : 10-15 May 2008 between 18:30 and 20:30 daily at The Mall Cinema
- Palestine Photo Exhibition : 1 - 17 May 2008 between 9:30 and 13:00 and 16:00 - 21:30 at the Waqif Art Centre, Souq Waqif (opposite Le Gourmet)
- A program for school children with the National Committee of Human Rights titled "Children of Palestinian refugees caught between hope and despair" : 5 and 7 May between 9:00 and 12:00 at the National Centre for Human Rights
There are also two lectures being held on International Humanitarian Law titled "International Protection for Palestinian Refugees":
- With Al Jazeera Studies and Research Centre : 28 April at 19:00 at the Diplomatic Club
- With the Faculty of Law at Qatar University : 5 May 2008 at 11:0 at Ibn Khaldun Hall, Faculty of Law, Qatar University
