I mean, we should be quite glad that a HOTEL of Non-Indian Origin is actually taking one step and having a celebration of the Indian Independence Day...
I mean Shaheenvk...we all know the way we got our independence do you mean to say that we should sit and mourn all day and eat saffron rice and salt and a kadi chaawal for the sake of the independence...
And Smartbuddy...whats with you mate...whats so insulting for such a nice welcome and at the Taj Rasoi which is a place designed to exhibit the Culture of India in its finesse and the way it has been decored...
Seriously now, both of you are a real shame boys...wake up...We are Celebrating the Indian Independence not remembering the Greats who fought for our country...
and Celebration comes in GRAND STYLE and being a citizen of one of the world's fastest growing economy I think I'm pretty proud to go out there and have a blast on this very happy moment...
If you think otherwise pls do so, but on a public forum try and not show that you are still living in the past with a bunch of great freedom fighters whom you have just heard about and not been there, dont that kinda thing...

Jai Hind. ...Yes as an Indian you should celebrate in Grand Style and since there are drunkards present in grand hotel parties then just ignore them.They are self-celebrity in their own world.If Mahatma Gandhi or any freedom fighter would be present now they would slap such indians ksarat and stupendous.Since, Independence should be celebrated that doesnt mean sink down with wine and stuff and have no respect to our country.This type of party should be made for your wedding or birthday but for independence india, No way. Cheers to shaheen and smart buddy...They are more smarter i feel compared to common typical foolish indians.

I think those first two ...I think those first two responders are right. Maybe Mariott should have put Opium on the menu instead of alcohol coz that's sold legally in Gandhis' Gujarat where alcohol is banned.
