Ladies Tuesday Group

The
next TLG meeting will be held this Tuesday, 29 April, in the Falaj
Marquee at the Ramada Hotel. Registration and coffee will be from 9.30
with the meeting itself starting at 10am.

This
meeting, we will be joined by four ladies, Lucielle Burger, Janet
Berry, Marzia Reboni and Birgit Smidz who, have kindly agreed to come
along and talk to us about the invaluable work they do with stray and
abandoned animals at the Qatar Animal Welfare Society. Many of the
animals arrive at the sanctuary in a terrible state and as QAWS is a
non funded project and these ladies volunteer their time and effort,
they need as much help as they can get to keep the animals as safe and
as comfortable as possible. If you would like to help in some small
way, there are several items that are always useful and very much
appreciated which, you could bring along to the meeting:

Puppy/Adult Tinned or Dry Dog Food (Pedigree brand suits the dogs best ..also the cheapest)

Blankets and Towels

Chew/Toys (often no money left to buy these)

Large/Small Collars and Leads

Empty Plastic Water Bottles (to keep water chilled in fridge in summer)

Cat Food (also Pedigree brand)

Thank
you for your response to our request for crafts people to exhibit at
our Summer Craft Fair on Tuesday, 27 May 2008. We do have one or two
tables left so if you know of any other crafts people who would like to
join in please ask them to contact us via the TLG email or phone,
contact details below. A table measures approximately 30'' x 72'' at a
cost of QR 100 per table and of course, we would love a raffle prize.
If you only have a small amount of items to sell, do not worry, two
exhibitors are welcome to share one table.
