Entertainment for You! (E4U) is proud to announce yet another top event in Qatar. This time round it’s two top DJs from India showing off their skills at the Qube Club, Ramada Plaza.

War of the DJs (House & Trance vs Bollywood Jalwa) features not one but two top DJs from India, DJ Akbar Sami and DJ (& MTV Veejay) Nikhil Chinapa. The evening also features Qatar's very own DJ Joe Mitri, Music Producer and QBS RJ!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
AKBAR SAMI
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Popularly known as the PIONEER OF BOLLYWOOD REMIXES. His tunes are known to take the listeners to a level of soulful ecstasy and we can find ample witnesses to the same. His career as a DJ has reaped him, the ASIAN DJ CHAMPIONSHIP AWARD ’89, at an age of a mere 22 years. He has since, won three DJ Awards for the years ’92 – ’93 & ’96. The jewel in the Crown would obviously be the BEST INDIAN CLUB DJ 98-99 award presented by Channel V.

Akbar Sami released top selling albums featuring tracks and remixes that are still played at clubs and discotheques, such as JALWA, JADOO, JALWA II, "CHIRAG" The new light. Akbar Sami has entered Bollywood as a Music Producer. He has produced background scores and well as title tracks for a lot of Movies. Few of his music direction works are for the movies : Partner, Manorama (Six Feet Under), Fast Forward (Music Composer), Heyy Baby, Bhool Bhulaiya, Nanhe Jaisalmer, Red, Apne, Naqaab, The Train, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Aap Ka Suroor, Namaste London, Fool N Final.

NIKHIL CHINAPA
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His love affair with house music began in the early nineties, in his hometown, Bangalore. Roger Sanchez, Robin S, Nightcrawlers and Todd Terry's early experiments with bass infused jazz and disco driven house found an ardent fan in him.

A subsequent MTV talent search picked him out of 7,000 aspirants and kick started his career as a presenter on MTV India. During his travels with the channel, he started trawling clubs and dance-floors across South-east Asia, Europe, the UK and particularly Ibiza.

He started his DJ career in 2001, drawn to vinyl records and the funky sounds of UK house and distinctly Latin infused Ibirecan sounds of the beach bars in Ibiza. Regular trips to London and a network of DJ friends sustained his Vinyl fetish, and kept his bag of tunes fresh and ahead of releases.

His style of playing crowd friendly funky house, with percussive tribal overtones, ensured a steady stream of gigs. He moved easily from playing bars filled with 150 people to opening sets for the multi-city Smirnoff experience parties in India, playing to crowds of 5000 clubbers. His sets combine a balanced blend of fresh tunes from dance-floors around the world, and the occasional crowd pleasing floor filler. The sets ebb and flow; percussive and in-your-face for a while, melodic and reflective another… never quite letting go.

In 2003, he, along with DJ Pearl founded SUBMERGE, an underground movement of Indian DJs promoting house.

If I were only in Qatar, I would never miss this great opportunity to listen to different DJ's playin their musice like techno/trance, etc without band singing .. it must have been very great last weekend ... I could not wait to be deployed there in Doha at least there one can enjoy the money he worked hard for .. i love nightlife!!!
