Australian School in Qatar
By CnP_in_Qatar on Tue, 17/11/2009 - 7:06amGood Morning All,
I was wondering about the schooling situation here in Qatar for Australian Children.
I have a six year old and we are find it it difficult at the moment to place him in a school.
I was wondering if any other australian's out there where in the same situation and how feasible it would be to look at the setting up of an Australian School in Qatar with links to one of the state education systems back in Australia.
Let me know your thoughts.
Regards
Peter
Moving to Australia
By Wings of Silver on Tue, 09/06/2009 - 11:39pmHi there,
I just joined this group and would like to thank you for having me as a member.
I am in the very final stages in my immigration process to Australia. I am immigrating as a Computing Professional and am willing to go for my post-graduate studies there. But before starting my masters, I will work for around a year to get acquainted to the country and make some money.
My question is that would it be a good idea to make my move now during this world recession? How bad was Australia impacted?
Appreciating any replies :-)
Thanks,
Hani

One for the Aussies
By snowyowl on Wed, 15/04/2009 - 12:04pmSubject: How tough are Australians?
The scene is set - a dark night, cold wind blowing,
campfire flickering, stars twinkling in the dark sky.
Three hang-glider pilots are sitting by the campfire,
one from Australia , one from Seth Efrika and one
from New Zulland. Each embroiled in the bravado for
which they are famous..
The night of tales begins...
Kiven the Kiwi says, 'I must be the meanest,
toughest, heng glider there es. Why, jist the other day I
linded in a field and scared a crocodeale, who came
out of the swamp and ate sux min who were
standen close by. I grebbed the crocodeale and
wristled him to du ground and killed em with my
beer hends'.
Hansie from Seth Efrika who typically can't stand
to be bettered said, 'Well you guys, I lended
