Procedure for export of car to Europe

Anyone who can describe the procedures in Qatar regarding export of a car to Europe. I am interested in all administrative and financial issues. Thanks!

Hi,

Wondering if they are available in Qatar? The LR dealer's website isn't active.....

I drive a Defender 130 in New Zealand, would like to keep up the tradition! Looking forward to seeing the inland sea and camping in the desert.

I have a roof tent here, should I bring it with me? Is camping equipment easily found?

Also, is kerosene (paraffin) easy to get, I use it in my campstoves.

 Thanks in advance, looking forward to seeing those dunes....

Junkyard for cars in Doha

Is there any junkyard in Doha where one can get auto parts or motors ? I am looking for a 3SGTE

 or any other toyota performance engine.

Do people in Doha like customising their rides?

Hi,
I have a business in South Africa and am moving to Doha. My business designs/manufactures/imports alloy wheels for all types of vehicles like Hummers, BMW, MBenz, Ferrari etc etc and I was wondering whether people in Doha who drive these types of vehicles would actually fit aftermarket alloy wheels onto their motorvehicles.
Any info would be appreciated.

looking for desert drivers and campers

Hi All, I'm new to Doha but not to the Gulf. I really enjoyed desert and wadi driving in the UAE and in Oman. I'm looking to join an existing group of offroaders or start one. I bring with me 6 years experience of pretty intense (but responsible-well mostly ;) ) desert driving, all the necessary recovery equipment (except winch), and good GPS knowledge. Please contact me if this sounds like what you already do or would like to start doing.

so i have been here for about 3 months now... and im curious...

i know there is a big rally/autocross scene here... but were?

i mean i look in the tourist book about doha and it says there are rally events and street events but it doesnt say were they are at?

im a big rally fan... especially since Travis Pastrona started ralling at the X-Games... was Surprised collin McRay was there too... But i have never been to a real rally because they arent that big in america... so can anyone point me into the right direction for the next rally or any kind of Auto-cross event... THANKS

WINCH - Installer??

Can any one assist me in where I can install a strong WINCH for my 4 wheel drive. I have a Nissan patrol and I am looking for a pretty strong winch. Any indication on the cost also would be appreciated.

I've just been looking at the Acura MDX 2007. Have not been able to get any information on its availability in Qatar. Can someone please tell me if it is available and what the cost of it with the technology packet is?

2001 VW Beetle

Has anyone ever bought a 2001 VW Beetle (hatch-back) in Qatar? I'm looking at one on Salwa Road dealership for QR28,000. Is it a good deal? What are the price of spare parts and general repairs? Consumer Reports says it isn't a best buy but isn't a worst buy. Consumer Reports says it has a weak electrical system and high aftermarket repair costs.

What is the fair market value for this car?

I have come to know that soon will be implemented a new policy for the old cars in Qatar, and putting a limit of years on it. Dose any one is aware of it, I want to know how old a car can be kept.
’cause I decided to buy a second hand car.

This bamboo jeep (or kawayan jeep) was created by a Filippino official from the Department of Agriculture supposedly for personal use only - until he realized that his official obligations included featuring the products of his province. He used the bamboo jeep in the exhibits to attract people.
