Hi Qlers,

Can somebody send me a copy of Qatar Labour Law?
We got a situation here at our company that 1 of the staff wants to resign but the management don't want to give him NOC / Release.

He said that he is locally hired and already worked for 2years. So our company should give him a NOC / Release.

also what are the difference between NOC / Release.

From what I know, even if he worked for the company for 20 years, it is still the prerogative of the employer to give or not to give the employee a NOC.

There is no such law that a locally hired person must get NOC. It is up to the Employer to provide NOC to his employee even if he is recruited locally or abroad. NOC is different from release. NOC & Release is a must for Sposorship Change. To apply for a new visa within 2 years should have NOC.
