Inland Sea with Overnight Camping
By Alumnar on Sun, 01/11/2009 - 8:46pmHi everybody!
I thought that creating a topic with a more appealing title for the non-walkers would be a good idea!
We are planning a trip to the Inland Sea with overnight stay on Eid Al-Adha (exact date not set yet). Drive there (along the Sealine or not, whatever is arranged throughout the development of this topic), BBQ's, dunebashing (or not), overnight stay with campfire.
These are the members of QL already signed up for the event. Please help us set this event up (as I am new to BIG event organization) and let's make this a get-together to remember!!!

By ALZA3EM on Sat, 21/11/2009 - 12:09pmQatar has made a new world record on Friday 20/11/2009 for the largest paper marbling "painting on the surface of the water then printing it using special kind of papers" which was 11m in length and 1.5m wide,it was painted by the Turkish painter "Ahmed Coktin" which did an impressive job that got him the honorable world record of the largest paper marbling.
even though I didn't get the chance to see it printed on a paper it looked pretty awesome on the water.
Update: you can see the printed Paper after this link:

Qatar and Deutsche Bahn ‘in $25bn deal’
German rail operator Deutsche Bahn is set to sign a $25bn contract with Qatar tomorrow
Qatar is set to award a $25bn contract to German rail and logistics group Deutsche Bahn tomorrow to build and operate a passenger and freight rail network in the country.
A source said the deal would see the launch of the Qatar Railway Development Company, a joint corporation in which Qatar Railways is expected to hold 51% and Deutsche Bahn 49%.
German Transport Minister Peter Ramsauer yesterday said in Berlin that he would travel to Doha together with Deutsche Bahn chief executive Ruediger Grube to sign the deal.

QAWS :: Volunteers Urgently Needed Tomorrow!
By Chelsea on Thu, 19/11/2009 - 11:48amQAWS has reached desperation level now and we need to get a temporary facility up and running in the next couple of days. The plan is to construct a minimum of 30 pens that can hold the dogs temporarily until a more permanent structure can be built. As it's coming into winter, air conditioning is not a problem so they will be more then happy being outside. Each dog will have it's own run with a crate/kennel in it and they will all be covered runs to keep them out of the sun.
We will be starting to build tomorrow and Saturday!!
We desperately need the following:
- Any unwanted plastic or wooden dog travel crates (we need at least 30) - preferably the larger sizes as a lot of our dogs are not small!!
