Quad Across Qatar

zaq08's picture

Hi Quad lovers,

Are you boring playing your quad only on Sealine?

Why not we set a trip to go around Qatar coastline before this summer? I believe it will be an exciting experience...

Any comment? or is it a crazy idea?Wink

Not a good idea at all.

I think about 2 daystime trip:

1. Early friday morning start from the north side of the restaurant before the highway ("As You Like" restaurant just north side of Doha golf club), heading north all the way to Al khor.

2. Take rest in the middle of the day in Al Khor, and continue heading to Shamal city.

3. Set a camp on the beach of Shamal (norht end of Qatar), take rest and prepare for the next morning.

4. Early morning saturday, leave Shamal facing south thru west coast of Qatar, thru Dukhan, etc.

5. Estimate to reach Doha from the west (Rayyan area) on Sat afternoon, park the quad & take the car & trailer from "Start" point on Friday morning, as I believe that no way to cross Doha by Quad. It is good also if the quad can be taken either by truck or in anyway to the start point, so we can load it back to our trailer and bring it home.

Things to consider:
1. Is there any restricted/personal area to be avoided in the route?
2. Logistic requirement (food, drink, fuel, etc.)
3. Emergency requirement
4. Crossing the road (as it is forbidden to drive quad on the road) in many places
5. Anything else?

Seems great for adventure lover ;-)
