I read an article of Qatari journal and it says, this product is don't fabric in Qatar now but in India. I'm not sure pearhaps some people know still this technique in qatar. So I just want to know for example a name of town where we can find battoulah or the technique. Of course I think that there are several techniques but it's not a problem, all sort it's important. All that can appear to you much but small information can much helped me a lot.Thank a for you answer. For you explain why I want some information I grew in Doha, and today I very interesting for the dyeing and this effect, (for exemple in China the Yunnan people, Mauritania, and Sudan, all this country use almost this effect in the clothe no for the mask but it's not really the same effect). So I hope you understand my request. bleu said Ma belle-mère les ...

Translation for those who are interested and don't speak french: My mother in law makes them, and she has no idea how the paper is made.
The shiny part is a type of paper imported from india, the middle part
is a wooden stick from an icecream, and it is covered from the inside
with masking tape.
