To lessen troll activity, we are implementing the following:
"3. Former members who have previously unsubscribed then are reqesting to subscribe back will be approved, albeit on probation subject to their comments and participation in the forum posts and activities."
likewise, as discussed with Treysdad, all NEW MEMBERS (RECENTLY JOINED THE GROUP)... we will have you ALSO on probation for at least 3 months... genuine intention joining the group must be established first.. meaning your posts/comments are monitored...also, reports from other groups (i.e. QLSG) of "trolling" will be automatically one reason for US to unsubscribe you from Fil Expat group....
malaking grupo tayo and mahirap na lagi tayong mapagsabihan ng "trolling" so if the intention is only this.. better not waste time subscribing to the group....
a bit harsh? yes, but if you want us to be respected by others... try to be respectable and avoid stirring things onboard (or disputes from other groups)....

i fully support the admins' ...i fully support the admins' move to filter the membership of Filexpatriates and be it limited to those who has "genuine intentions" of becoming a member.
According to treysdad during our 1st anniversary, we are the fastest growing group in QL. well i guess, that is in terms of numbers of registered online members. but how many of these 400++ members are actively participating in the forum? and how many of those who are participating in the forum actually participate in the group's activity?
if a person will just be a mere spectator, then he can always read the threads online. tutal ayaw nyang mag-participate bakit pa magme-member.? ang sa akin lang po, hindi porke nagsasalita ka ng tagalog, bisaya, ilokano, kapampangan, ilonggo, etc... eh un na lang ang requirement to belong in FilExpat. being a member Filipino Expatriates Group is not a priviledge earned by having Filipino nationality. im sure marami ang magre-react... kasi nga naman sabi daw "everybody is welcome". yes everybody is welcome to "join and participate".

Paglilinaw po... ...May mga nangyari na po kasi sa ibang grupo na may mga biglang sumulpot sa pagtitipon nila..... at pagkatapos ay nakita na lang nila ang kanilang mga pictures sa isang social website.... isa po iyon sa mga activity ng troll.
Kaya nga po ang mga detalye ng mga pagtitipon natin at mga larawan ay sa PM na lang po sa mga kasama sa pagtitipon para po maiwasan ang mga ganung pangyayari sa atin.
Marami po kasing walang magawa dito sa Doha at natutuwa po sila na guluhin ang buhay ng mga kapwa nila. Pampalipas init nila ang pagpapainit ng ulo ng kapwa.

--------- not mandatory but as much as possible, YES (to attend any Fil gathering and to provide relevant posts). ang pagsali po sa grupo ay hindi pwersahan....EVERYONE can join and participate, but we have to filter out ang mga "pasaway" sa QL, this is for the betterment of our group...

-----this is hard, that's why sometimes it helps if one user can vouch the authenticity or the intention of one user in joining the group (for example, you will be at least responsible if a colleague, friend, flatmates joins this group thru your invitation)

----as much as possible we don't want to complicate things but having this big number of group...tendencies are marami ang unruly....we will elaborate this RULE (not only this) more... :)
as of now... current rules are to be implemented and must be observed.. we are likewise open for more suggestions from the members para po hindi ninyo sabihing one-sided ang admins.. remember that our objective here IS TO MAINTAIN A WELL BALANCED-GROUP (but mainly ang magkaroon ng MASAYANG MALAKING PAMILYA DITO SA IBANG BANSA)

we do encourage them (family member, relatives, friends, flatmates, colleagues) to join/participate any group gatherings as we do consider them as Adopted members
...but.. BUT, the registered member will be held responsible to any of their acts...
and with our group, di naman tayo naghihigpit kasi madaling pagsabihan ang kapwa noypi, ang medyo nahihirapan kami at nasasaktan is kapag meron ibang QL Group na inirereklamo ang member natin ng "trolling"..... nasasaktan kami pag sinasabihan kami ng mga mods ng (in english pero sabihin ko in tagalog)... "owen meron kayong member na nag trotroll at hinaharrass ang isang member (ibang lahi)"... in behalf, kami ang nasasaktan specially kapag me proof sila.... so guys i know you understand why we are setting the rules straight...
