Lol at your post Bae. Few years ago when we just arrived The City Centre used to have a family day on certain day (i think either Wednesday or Thursday).

Then my brother in law came from off shore for the day for his dental appointment. He need to buy something that quite important for him ... he arrived in The City Centre but he cant get in. So he have to ring me and my husband to come to the city centre to walk him into the mall ... Once you are in , the security wont bother you.

 Rediculous !!!

something worthwhile in their working day......In fact why not just ban all single people from working in Qatar,  employ only families and you can all lead nice crime free lives....This is absolutely pathetic and yet again shows the world that Qatar is nothing but a slavery  rich country !!

As I understand "bachelor" in the Gulf English dialaect, it doesn't mean only an unmarried man.  Unfortunately, I understand it to refer specifically to South Asian, transient, poorly paid male labourers without their families.  We know for sure that the article isn't referring to unmarried 55 year old male invesment bankers.

It may be illogical, but the evolution of langauge and regional variations are not logical...  If  you read Kuwait newspapers they talking about "Housing crisis for bachelors", and "The police arrested a gang of bachelors on suspicion of drug smuggling".  Everyone understands exactly what they are saying.

My husband was stopped at Landmark once, he had an appointment at the hairdresser, he could not attend........he is not Asian.......

that are posted here are MERE REACTIONS to the suggestions of some interviewee by Gulf Times. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I feel, being a bachelor myself, this issue is worth discussing. Everyone should be treated equal. Regardless of gender, race, status, etc.

They willl then move out all the shops from the Malls.....

AND......grow grass inside the malls and convert them into Carparks.....

Everybody that enters a mall, be they male or female, should be made to produce their marriage certificate.

Once that has been checked and verified and stamped by three different people (none of whom can read the language that said marriage certificate is written in), they should be made to open up jackets, coats, abayas, dish-dash, and turn out the pockets of jeans or trousers to prove that they don't have extra deep pickpocket pockets.

Furthermore, anybody with a naff haircut, a squint eye, low forehead, trashy earrings, scuffed shoes, one shoulder higher than the other, moaning children, teenagers, or wearing colours which clash, should not only be forbidden from entering, they should be banned for a period commensurate with their offence, which will be tabulated and put up on every entrance door (e.g. slightly scuffed shoes = 1 week ban, a bad squint = 3 months ban, etc).

Pickpockets cash in at crowded shopping malls

 The best prevention for the situation of **pickpocket** is "Indivual awareness and prevention".  Don't impose economic limitations of purchase or profiling of races.  There is many ways to control this problem besides just placing dictatorial rulings.

If your confession is a guilty verdict, just push the door in the way out, You will be ejected all the way to hell. If you are innocent of your confession, then a white carpet for your path will be roll out and you will be levitated to heaven exclusively.

Why don't the shopping malls just have more security guards in place and allow everyone the right to shop?  In the past they didn't allow single guys into Landmark on certain days as most young men were just walking around cruising bugging the ladies but how do you know if they want to cause trouble or shop?  And it was Arabs they were targetting not Asians.

I wonder why they keep so many security gaurds at shopping malls and plus they have cameras also in shopping malls every where and still we have this problem. I remember only once they stopped me at the City Center gate that was b4 two years me and my friend we are movie freaks never missed any but that day they stopped us from entering but luckily one of the shop owner in city center was a friend of mine and i called him he took us in.Hardly in qatar there is only one place C.C where bachelors can go either for shopping, for coffee,for movie or for eating. I have seen alot of bachelors asking families if they can enter with them on family days.
