I WOULD LIKE TO GATHER DATA OF THE QATAR STOCK MARKET TO SCRIPWISE LAST FIVE YEARS ,PRESENTLY DSM IS GIVING DATA DAILY FOR ALL THE 40 SCRIPS TRADED, CAN ANYONE ADVISE WHERE TO OBTAIN HISTORICAL DATA FOR ONE SCRIP ONLY EG QTEL FOR LAST 5 YEARS.

Captreham, if your purpose is to do technical or fundamental analysis, it might be worthwhile for us to meet for coffee and have a discussion on the subject. I used to do this research on one of my first jobs and would be nice to do that again.

Templates ur working on - if u need i got them already,
but u will have to macroin the dsm site, which i realize is ur biggest problem because it goes back only a years time frame right?

Statistics can bemanipulated my friends
reduce ur deviations and variance to match the time frame of a year.
Though not very dependable i agree since u wont get a whiff of the seasonality of the trends.

the precise data that you ...the precise data that you can gather is from 2005 to the latest----so for 5 years data thats impossible unless you really have a good relation in DSM (if they have the old data) ....coz now its really hard to ask some data....
just do some research...there are reports published every year that summarize the data of listed companies

Does anyone here use the software MetaStock?
Its one of the most useful piece of code i'v ever used.
Is there a web-site that publishes graphs for different periods for each stock? Had one such very good site available in pakistan so i didn't have to do the hard work in excel. Alternatively, if it is possible to get stock wise data for any number of months (preferably one year), i can just load it into MetaStock and be on my way with the technical analysis again :)
