Renewing Passport

I have passport that expired beginning of July and my resident visa is up to end of November. Probably they (immigration office) made mistake because i believe that visa should be up to expiry date in my passport. So, im going to go home in July to take another passport and im wondering can i enter country with new passport and old one (canceled) with my Qatari visa in it without problems.

I just had a similar issue. ...I just had a similar issue. I traveled with both the expired passport and the new one. When I came back into the country they were attached together and the costums person didn't even look to see why I had two passports. I don't think it will be an issue.

=> I don’t think so. Immigration office did not make any mistakes. They give you one year / two year working permit which does not matter when your passport will be expired.

=> You cannot. You have to get a new passport and transfer your visa from old passport to new passport before expire your old passport.

Agreed w/ MMN ...yeah i totally agreed w/your idea MMN.Holmes, don't take any risk better be in the safer side rather than to be held up in the airport immigration questioning you.As soon as possible renew your passport and transfer your new visa in it.

Thank you all. But, one ...Thank you all. But, one thing borders me. If I send my passport to my country with FedEx or HDL and I get new one and old one canceled are they going to questioning me how I got new one without leaving country? I have my countries embassy here but I need solution before beginning of July and embassy people are not sure that they can provide me new one in this time (less then two months that I have left). So, it would be much faster to send my pass to my country for renewal.
