Halliburton

Hello,
My husband is in the preliminary stages of a new job with Halliburton, based out of Doha. I am trying to do some research on the living conditions. I understand that Halliburton will put us up in a villa/compound and was wondering if any halliburton employees out there know what the name of the compound(s) are?
Thanks for any help you can provide me.

Halliburton does not have a compound for it's people. The employees live in various locations all over Doha. What they do is give the employee an allowance per month depending on his pay grade. It will be up to you to find a villa/compound that suits your budget and needs. The local HR people can help with your housing search.

I work for Halliburton in Doha and have been here for 3 years. That is why I know the procedures.

if the company is let you pick your own compund let me know by PM ....I have an agent for housing ...just tell her your budget ...and she will show you around .....I like riveira garden because they have indoor pool in their club house and the gym is good....they also have a kiddies pool , as you said you have young family ...near landmark which have circusland ( like chucke cheesses in the US )and I know for sure they have opening ...maybe around 1-2 ....... but there is a lot of good compound ...depend what you looking for near mall or the facility or near school which school etc ....question can go on

Jodereggs - My wife and I have been living in a stand alone villa since we have been here. I would recommed a compound if you have small children. They are much safer and allow the kids a place to play in safety.

I do not know much about the compounds, but I can see from another response you have some help with that. I would find out what your husband's allowance is and then start the search for a house. Like I said before his housing allowance is entirely dependent on his salary grade level. The vehicle allowance is set in the same manner.
