2 year contract passport will expire in 18 mo
By DC-Jaz on Wed, 14/05/2008 - 12:24pm
My wife and I have been offered 2 year contracts at an International School in Doha. I am a New Zealander and my wife is Chinese with New Zealand Permanenet Residency. We live in China. My question is will my wife need to renew her passport before coming to Qatar? If she accepts a 2 year contract is it permissible to have only 18 months left on her current passport. Chinese nationals must renew passports every five years which is why this is an issue.

Reply on yr Qs ...No problem . Once her visa is stamped here with Reisdent permit , she can go to China embassy here for passport renewal just before expiry . There is no issue at all .
