Mila, I know, I learnt ...Mila, I know, I learnt pineapple and salt here... before never in my life I heard about it. I think nobody in Poland would think of putting salt on pineapple :)
But we put pineapple on pork :P strange for my husband, fruit and meat!

Brown sugar on the carrots ...Brown sugar on cooked carrots is nice too. Makes it tasty for the kids as well and it doesn't take much sugar. Thanks for posting. :)

silvia, in my country people ...silvia, in my country people sprinkle salt on every fruit including pineapples,apples,oranges and even watermelons!!!!our fruit salads have salt pepper and other masalas in combination with sugar!!!!!

But I learnt that before I try something, I can't exclude it!
Like in Thai food, salty, sweet, sour and spicy all in one! And it's great!
I may try oranges with salt though, never tried before.

BTW: Bagoong is made from shrimp or small fish that have been salted, cured and fermented for several weeks. A Philippine CONDIMENT that's popular in Hawaii and throughout the Pacific.
