It means that the allowance ...It means that the allowance you have reaceived will be depreciated (getting less) over the period of your contract. If you have a 4 year contract and decide to resign after two years, then you will have to pay back 50% of the initial amount.

yes, and my company's policy ...yes, and my company's policy says: If they (Co.) decides to throw you out within this duration .. you will be waived of the amount... ^_* but if you decide to quit then you have to pay the amount according to the duration.. as PIET said...
