Social Networking and Qatar Living

I am currently writing an article on social networking for Qatar Today - with a particular focus on Qatar - and I wanted to ask the Qatar Living community what Qatar Living means to you.
In particular:
- What do you use it for? i.e. for meeting people, socialising, making contacts, promoting a website, selling/buying things e.t.c.
- How often do you use it for (daily e.t.c.) and for how long do you use it for?
- How important is it to you?
- Do you use any other forums/social networking sites?

QL Rocks! ...I use QL all the time to get info on anything to do with Qatar, by far the best resource on the web for info on Qatar.
When I just moved to Doha the rental prices went sky high, however through QL classifieds, I managed to get an apartment at a below market rate, which was fantastic- I managed to save quite a bit in rental. I also managed to get a great deal on second hand car from an expat that was leaving doha.
Oh yeah, I also won a DVD from one of the competitions that was run on QL :-)

QL, as I perceive it, is an ...QL, as I perceive it, is an ongoing process which should remain with each and every individual at all times.
I do not think that QL is something that one achieves like anyone would achieve success.
Rather I think QL is more similar to the blood (yummy). In other words, it is something no one can do without. :-)
QL is something which should always be part of us.
You probably don't get what I mean, imagine someone needing help, with an aid (someone to help) they can achieve what they need help for, hence the desert are hard to pass, but can be achieved by support from others.
I check QL forums first when online, I feel secure in the fact that whatever problem I may have, QL forums will be there to give me a helping hand.
And to share the knowledge that I slowly gain to help those who that need it.

Call us Qlers ! ...Qlers - They are always available on QL to welcome new comers and to answers any query they post on QL such as regarding Jobs/ Housing/ buying n selling of Cars/ Electronics etc... you name anything you will find on QL. Even people feel much confident on QL and share their personal issues also !
2) New members - They come here to find Jobs/ House/ Cars/ Electronics and seek advise from Qlers on different issues ! and later they also become part of QLer Team ...
Also as Qatari mentioned the best part of QL is the QLGroups... most of us meet on weekly basis with our families !
If you ask me I am on QL almost everyday from morning till evening or sometimes late nights on weekends ..
To answer your questions:

A) I come here to meet my friends, make new contacts, and more importantly to extend my help to people seeking help on QL.

A) I come on QL on regular basis and stay most of the time online ...

A) QL is like my home :-)

A) Yes I do use other Forums/ social network but not as much as QL coz non of them are as active as QL.
