Would appreciate some information on the Dentists of Apollo Clinic.
There is a lady doctor Dr.Dakshiyani who does the Root Canal treatment.
How is this doctor ? This is for my wife.
Any other good dentists at Apollo
Any past experiences / suggestions.

her clinic is located in ramada signal. familiar with crepeaway? that building is the location of the clini named Smile Clinic located at the second floor. when u get inside, there is a directory for your reference.
Look for Dr. Asli James.

APOLLA CLINIC MADE MY CANAL ...APOLLA CLINIC MADE MY CANAL TREATMENT LAST YEAR. MY TOOTH CAN BE FILLED BUT THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO SHAPE AFTER FILLING THE TOOTH.
WHOEVER GOES TO APOLLO, dentists ALWAYS SAY CANAL TREATMENT.
ALSO THEY COVERED MY TOOTH. IT IS LIKE A STONE, VERY HUGE AND TERRIBLE. LUCKYLY IT WAS MY BACK TOOTH. WHOEVER ASKING ME to advise DENTIST I SAY NEVER EVER APOLLO. WHEN I SHOW THEM MY COVERED TOOTH THAT TIME THEY ARE CUTTING THEIR ALL RELATIONSHIP WITH APOLLO clinic dentists.
SECONDLY approximately 1 year later apollo experience, I WENT TO "SMILE DENTAL CARE" for my other tooth. SHE TOLD ME CANAL TREATMENT, too. I TRUSTED THEM. BECAUSE THAT PLACE IS SPECIALISTED FOR DENTAL CARE.
WHAT A PITY. THE DENTIST FORGOT ONE CANAL TREATMENT EQUIPMENT IN MY TOOTH ROOT. IT IS VERY SMALL. DENTIST COULD NOT GET BACK IT. SHE TOLD ME YOUR EX DENTIST FORGOT IT INSIDE. BUT THIS TOOTH WAS FIRST TIME HAVING CANAL TREATMENT. HOW CAN THAT SMALL EQUIPMENT GO INSIDE OF MY TOOTH ROOT. she told me maybe they forgot it while they were filling it.
It was funny and impossible, filling tooth and canal treatment is very very different. But I am living in Qatar and I dont have any chance for better conditions.
I called my own country dentist. He was thinking as same as me. He told me "It is impossible. But now your dentist has to continue your canal treatment. Because she opened your tooth , opened tooth is not good for your health and you dont have any chance to check your tooth in your country. "
SHE(smile dental care dentist) TOLD ME IT IS NOT PROBLEM NOW. BUT MAYBE 10 YEARS LATER IT WILL BECOME PROBLEM AND you need big operation from your cheek. Now picking that equipment is impossible. There is special machine for forgotten equipments for the tooth. But in Qatar we dont have. Only big Medical University has. I said ok finish my treatment, and fill my tooth. That equipment still in my tooth. I have x-ray films. That equipment is shining in my tooth. It is funny. I am not surprising anything in Qatar

I'm sorry that this (my first message) isn't more posítive, but a friend referred me to this page - and I feel a response is appropriate (and required!)
I am the 'she at Smile' which Nazli Bahcekaya refers to in her above posting, and would like this opportunity to present my version of events;
a) Nazli came to visit me in March, complaining of an aching tooth.
b) After a short visual inspection, we took an X-ray of her tooth (lower, left, no. 7 - the back one).
c) On inspection of the X-ray it was observed that there was;
i) Evidence of some previous root-canal treatment,
ii) An abcess (infection),
iii) A small metal object inside.
Nazli stated that she had had a filling in that tooth about ten years previously, but she believed that she had not had any root canal treatment on that tooth. The (before) X-ray clearly shows that there was previous canal treatment - perhaps she doesn't remember, or her dentist at that time didn't discuss the details of the procedure with her - I don't know which.
d) I successfully cleaned, disinfected and filled two of the tooth's root canals, but for the third canal (the one which contained the small metal object) I recommended that she visit a university hospital during her next visit to Turkey. Unfortunately this is a very specialized treatment which requires special equipment.
e) After this treatment we also took another (after) X-ray for her reference.
f) In order for her to receive the best treatment when she visited home, I gave her;
i) the (before) X-ray,
ii) the (after) X-ray,
iii) a written statement of my observations and the treatment that she had received.
I don't know why Nazli has started such a personal attack against me here, but I am surprised and disappointed. Accordingly, I offer her three options;
A) If she really believes that I have done something wrong then she should visit the National Health Authority (which licenses us dentists) with her 'before' and 'after' X-rays.
B) If she would like to apologize for her outburst (above) then I will accept her apology. Of course, if she feels more comfortable visiting another dentist then she is welcome to do so.
C) If this attack on my professional character is because of personal reasons then I suggest that she doesn't make QatarLiving untidy with such comments - if she would like a coffee or chat then she has my number.
My only 'mistake' was to trust her and give her the 'before' X-ray - with this it is so clear that the small metal object was there when she walked in our front door (I presume this came from the previous root-canal file that some other dentist used).
Again QLers ... apologies for this post, but I do not think that this great forum is the right place for a professional attack on Smile Dental Care, and me personally. Hopefully this will be the last post on this matter.
