hi all..
salam..
i have a job interview 2moro afternoon..
it's a Technical Support position..
i am a fresh graduate.. & i don't have alot of experience.. well.. no experience at all..
can u tell me how the interview will be.. what questions should i be expecting.. & how to answer them.. what trick question should i be aware of..

2.what is the deference between Switch & Router..?
3.What is Proxy.. is it Software or Hardware..?
4.What is Active Directory in details..?
5.U have 5 PCs connected to the network.. a Printer is connected with PC #1 what r the steps to let other 4 users use that Printer..?
6.
..... & few character questions..
plz help me by answering them or guiding me to where i can ace that interview..?!

Master Mas, you lazy sod! I know the answers to all the above ......questions, but it so much easier for you to google the answers instead of me typing it all out!
How on earth did you pass your degree, did you just copy people, or get others to do all the work.
If you can't even work out quick and easy ways of how to get answers to these questions, you should not work in Tech support at all!

Passing a degree does not ...Passing a degree does not mean mastering the field, however knowledge & experience comes out with practise.

2.what is the deference between Switch & Router..?
as there names, Route used to route data packets from subnet to diffrent subnet while switch used to switch packets in the same subnet unless its layer 3 switch where is can do both switching and routing.
3.What is Proxy.. is it Software or Hardware..?
proxy is either soft or hardware appliance used to act a a messenger on behalf of the workstations behind it and the internet.
4.What is Active Directory in details..?
Its a logical group ( reposotry/ container ) of computer resources including but not limited to users , computers , shared locations, printers, security and distrepution groups, etc.
5.U have 5 PCs connected to the network.. a Printer is connected with PC #1 what r the steps to let other 4 users use that Printer..?
on the computer that has the printer connected directly to it, just share it and let the other 4 computers access it through the network.
finaly i would sugest you be calm, be your self and dont try to act smart unless you are smart :).
and my little boy, take the stairs one step at a time and one day you will reach your distenation.

Owis? What? Why did you just give him all the answers? ......when he could have googled everything and found out the answers himself in less than 5 mins?
People don't learn if the answer is given to them, they remember better when they've had to search or work for the answer!
,,,,ok... (deep breath) I guess if his interview is tomorrow he counld be panicking and you did what you thought was right, which was a kind gesture.
But I lectured IT/Computing for many years and wrote a number of text books on the subject, trust me, it's for his own good!
....but if your fail to prepare, be prepared to fail!

as u can see it's 3:30 am & i still can't sleep..
my interview in few hours..
i'm reading & trying to memorize as much as i can find from the internet..
i needed answers for those questions bcoz when i google them i get a very complicated full topics.. i just need a simple answer to show the interviewer that i know what i;m talkin about.. that's it..
i am not lazy man..

lol... i guess you didnt do ...lol... i guess you didnt do too hot in your last interview? memorizing 5 answers to random questions isn't going to help you too much. my advice is to just relax and try to recall what you learned in school. that's what they will be testing you over... not what you can cram in one night. RELAX
