Sponsorhip Law

hi to all is it true that here in Qatar Employees cannot normally transfer sponsorship unless they have worked for their employer for two years. They will also need a clearance letter from their sponsor in order to do so. A sponsor can ban a departing employee from returning to the country for two years.

 

Since I'am new here in this country I just also want to know if the said law is  applicable if the contract is only one year or if the contract is indefinite.  thanks

This law is discretionary, I know some people who have moved successfully within the first 2 years without any problems. The law gives the benefit to the employer and hence why some employers are rather rigid in applying this law. If your employer is good than you should have no problems.

The employer will not give NOC and if u beg for it he will talk sweet words of better future in the present co. and then whn the employee is not quiting. He shows his real colour.......... :(

Doesn't accepts any of the promises made and make the employee suffer for staying back.

I have seen people getting DESP and quitting the job and going back even without taking the dues from the co.

you may change you sponcership if your sponcer ready to give (noc) letter and it also depends on your agreement if your visa is 2 year project visa idont think you may right to change but one another option is ther if you are not satisfy wid your job and and visa progrss is pending you change to another sponcer you need the letter time period of first three month
