An Irish colleague wanted to marry his Canadian girlfriend, but his wife in Ireland refused to dvorce him.. Since he was moving to Canada anyway, they just got married locally without telling anyone that he was already wed.

fight for your rights!!!!!!!! ...A Filipino - wherever he/she may be located in the world - is governed by Philippine laws on marriage.
This means that while he/she can secure a divorce outside the Philippines, such divorce is NOT recognized in the Philippines.
___________
FAMILY CODE:
1. Divorce is not recognized under Philippine laws. If you’re a Filipino, it doesn’t matter where you get a divorce – such divorce is invalid/void in the Philippines. This is because under the nationality principle (Art. 15, Civil Code), all Filipinos – where they may be in the world - are bound by Philippine laws on family rights and duties, status, condition, and legal capacity. Yes, folks, you can run, but you can’t hide.Nevertheless, divorce decrees secured outside the Philippines are recognized in certain instances. This is provided in Article 26 (Paragraph 2) of the Family Code, which reads in full:
ART. 26. All marriages solemnized outside the Philippines in accordance with the laws in force in the country where they were solemnized, and valid there as such, shall also be valid in this country, except those prohibited under Articles 35(1), (4), (5) and (6), 36, 37 and 38.
Where a marriage between a Filipino citizen and a foreigner is validly celebrated and a divorce is thereafter validly obtained abroad by the alien spouse capacitating him or her to remarry, the Filipino spouse shall have capacity to remarry under Philippine law.
The twin elements for the application of this provision are:
1. There is a valid marriage that has been celebrated between a Filipino citizen and a foreigner; and
2. A valid divorce is obtained abroad by the alien spouse capacitating him or her to remarry.

Sorry about your ...Sorry about your plight
These things do happen, and nothing that anyone can do about it
As suggested by others you can inform the authorities & get him Deported from here.
Then take him for the JOY RIDE ...

aprilanne read this before you act. ...I got one evil idea for you lady.
Why don't you confront him and intimidate him for some of his money, other wise you tell him that you will report him to the PH embassy and the local police.
Just remember, that If you do have any kids with him they will be affected. Specially when he loses his job or gets deported then you will get absolutely nada(nothing).
I will guarantee you that he will consider your bribes (aalukin ka ng pera ng asawa mo) for money. Always talk to him in private and alone in a public place.

aprilanne ...If you wish for her to feel like a mistress, just hurt him were it hurts the most, "His pocket, his money"
i understand the legal family thing,
Do you wish to continue to be the poor legal family, living in the Philippines or the wealthy one?
You could always call his HR department or the Qatar embassy in your country.
You don't lose anything by asking them.
There is many ways to solve your marital problems.

Drakula's post is detailed. ...Drakula's post is detailed.
April Anne, There is no divorce in the Philippines but Drakula forgot to mention Marriage Annulment.
They can never be legal couples here in qatar. They will live like criminals (always worried that someone might report them to police anytime) with a sword hanging at their heads.
If you are legally married to him in the philippines and your marriage has not been annuled then it is certain that your hubby faked documents to get re-married. worse if the mistress is also legally married too in the phil.
If you have intention to fight for your legal rights, you can do these things; get your marriage certificate & children birth certificates authenticated from NSO, Civil Registry, Malakanyang & DFA.
If you can not come to Qatar, Have a Special Power of Attorney (again authenticated) naming a representative.(preferably someone you know who is here in Qatar)
Your representative then can go to the Phil Embassy here in Doha and they can advise what steps can be done; approach the employers of your hubby and his mistress and report them to CID.
I know these things can be tedious but only if you are determined to act that they can be made to pay for their misdeeds.
Do you have plans to come to Qatar to complain? If you do most likely they will be jailed, fired from their jobs, get deported. if you pursue the case further back in the philippines, they will also land in jail.
If they get convicted in the Philippines then it would be easy for you to get marriage annulment and lead a new life with your kids.
The best part I may advise you is try to talk first with your hubby and tell him about what you will do (as above) and maybe he will wake up to his senses.
God Bless You
