Gang rape main accused commits suicide..

I know its not related to Qatar... Do you think he will commit suicide? I don’t think someone who did such a hideous crime will commit suicide..

I personally think its good he is dead.. if not after serving the sentence period he will come out and do the same thing again...

And no one on earth can now do anything to benefit or harm him, or be harmed by him even. If he was murdered then evidences should be made known by now, however in this case it seems he indeed did kill himself but probably with the knowledge of at least someone of those around. Wonder if his death will somehow cause any problems in any further investigations and rulings..hope not!

I just hope we don't see a group of crazy people now protesting against his 'murder' by police.

The guy killed himself from the shame of the awful crime he committed.

And even if he was killed by his jailers, it was still a better death than what the poor rape victim suffered.

It is a different world in prison which the common man will never know. There are means of indirect punishments, torture, which is never known to the outside world. Man is capable of innovative ways to make another man miserable.
I have heard of rumors that there are cases of prisoners making a deal with cops, to either reveal other names, or pay money they saved, and in exchange the cops allow them to commit suicide.
This is only heard rumor, dont know how far it is true, so take it with a pinch of salt.

Ironically it's the jail that's had both Suresh Kalmadi, the guy who stole the Commonwealth Games money, and anti-corruption campaigner Anna Hazare.

Sounds like that wasn't the only thing this rapist was forced to put in his mouth and eat when he was in jail.

Do you think there ever is any "closure" for victims families Brit? Even if they're hung, it's a far easier death than what the girl was put through.

If what fubar says is correct and he was sodomized in prison, than at least he felt a bit of what she went through. If I was the victims family that would make me feel better than execution ever could.

I suppose the family wanted to see him hang - this probably would have been both vengence and closure.

Its practically not possible that a man, who had a deformity in one of his hands could reach the ventilator grill all by himself and hang himself with the help of his shirt. Had this been possible, many more convicts would have done that earlier. Tihar is a high security prison and surveillance is high, human and electronic.

Either he was helped by others or killed by the police. The police may have known that the way the case was going, as per the law, effective at the time of offence, they would never receive death punishments and government machinery in Delhi may have been worried fearing another mass protest.

This solves all problems.

Ladies, it's possible to commit suicide especially if all his fellow inmates did something to him like what the suspect did to the poor woman. How's that for a unfortunate turn of events. BU_T RAP_D EVERYDAY.

Well he taught he was fortunate to live for a bit longer after doing the crime. He never saw that coming. A lot of offenders wants to evade a crime and they never realized that theirs a possibility that they will also experience what they did to their victims.

“People had forgotten about this whole thing. Now all of a sudden, this idiot hangs himself and look how this is in focus again,” said an auto-rickshaw driver in the cramped and grubby Ravidass Camp slum. “He won’t let us live in peace. Whatever peace we were slowly getting has now gone again.”
