Having said that, I think he makes sense. Societies in the West have matured. Big is not neccessarily best. It is more about functionality and long term maintenace costs. Developing nations see these behemoths as a means of saying "WE have arrived".
At least by mentioning Qatar, they re acknowleging its arrival on the world stage.

Comedy ...Remember, This is a comedy show... He also has a segment when they do a mock interview with Qatar's UN Ambassador.
We should get him here, fully paid expenses with a free satellite feed. Maybe through Aljazeera. (He'll have fun, and so will we).

Not enough buildings with ...Qatar does not have enough buildings with record breaking heights or architecture extravaganza! Except for Dubai, who has the biggest shape bldg.-hat for the pope!
