Dhow Trip - 5th Dec

For all those who dont know wat it is (Which i guess r quite few..).. Its a traditional Qatari Dhow (Check the attached pictures) which will take you cruising around the palm tree island to view the magnificent City of Doha from the water side, then we head towards Al Safliya Island where we will anchor approximately 50 meters away from the shore, and we can move to the beach from there in a speed boat..(i guess walking or swimming is not an option.. as last time it was deep in there..) We will spend some time on the beach.. where u can relax or swim or fish.. and then later we have BBQ Lunch being served on the boat..The Dhow also has an air conditioned cabin & a very nice seated area on the upper deck..

The only difference from last time is.. this time the lunch is also being served.

The Menu for Lunch:

Hummus, Corn Salad, Coleslaw Salad, Potato Salad, Mix Green Salad
Beef stroganoff, Beef Kofta, Grilled Chicken, Hot dogs
Al Ajhar special Rice served with Assorted Vegetables, Bread
Fruit Salad with Ice cream
Soft Drinks, Mineral Water, Tea & Coffee

Date: 5th Dec 08

Time : We have two options, so you guys temme which one to book for.. its 9 am to 3 pm or 10 am to 4 pm

Price for the trip:
Children below 4 years go for free..
Children between 4 & 12 - QR 65 / Child
For Adults (including children above 12 years) - QR 130 / Person

The price for the Speedboat is seperate which will be about 25-30 Per Person.. We are trying to look for a cheaper guy.. and will update u when we finalize..

I have booked a dhow for 45.. So QLSG'ers.. I need all the confirmations before 25th.. So HURRY UP!!

Right now only one Dhow is booked if i got more members than 45 then i will have to keep you on waiting list for 2nd Dhow so to complete the number for 2nd Dhow.

You guys can Pay Me or Khanan at any QLSG event before 1st Dec.

Dukhan Trip 21st Nov.

Well it exactly isnt Dukhan beach but some where around Dukhan.
This event will be on 21st Friday,
Those who ever are interested may confirm their attendance here.Later i will ask Scarlett & Kellyheroes to inform you what to bring along with you.
Those who dont have car just try to get to the meeting point and will sort with any member.
For Sure those who have never been to Camels in Shahniya will take you there too on our way to Dukhan.
I will send you email about where the meeting point will be a day before the trip.

Why has the invitation stopped in absence of DaRuDe

Is there any special reason that there has not been any invitation sent since the departure of DaRuDe on his Vacation. Who is managing the group in his absence. More than a fornight since the Man him self left but no invites???

Mid-Day Break...Choices & Answers Pls!!!

Ello ello ello everyone!!!

Its the Mid-Day Express Break that I require all of you to take from all the hard work, toiling heat, and immense amount of Serious QLing that is getting you all interested and busy!

Just a few questions...

1) I notice that there isn't much of action (Events) happening around Eid this year so its practically going to be Pretty LAME!

So what are y'll planning on doing for Eid Holidays???

2) There are two major events lined up...

i) Paul Van Dyk Live in Doha at the Intercontinental Hotel, Beach party...which is on the 02nd October 2008...

ii) Hedkandi at the Qube, Ramada Plaza Doha, on the 10th October 2008...

I would like to know which of the events do QLers prefer more...or both of them...and would all of you want to go as a group so we could get some discounts (if possible)...this is an open invite to all so as to see your responses and then get down to organizing this for QL and QLSG!!!

So come on people, put down your views and answers ASAP please...
