Qatar Living Photo Shoot
To all members of the QL Photo group,
New timings...see above...
I will be away until roughly the 20th of May, however, please feel free to go out and shoot pictures to your hearts content and post on the Qatar Living flickr page, please try and get your access to the account page sent to me before this Friday so i can authorise you to join and post your pictures.
I suggest we get together for a photo shoot on the 26th May at 10am (before it gets to hot) and do a joint photo shoot. As one of the most prominent places in Doha/Qatar is the Khalifa tower and sports city that would be a good starting point.
The area itself is fantastic due to the construction and angles, all you have to do is confirm attendance for the date and we will go from there.

Novita 77... ...Ok to post a photo from your own flickr account to the group, in your own flickr account, your photo page(s), click on one of your photo's, the increased size photo will show then there is a button on the top "Send to Group" click on that then send it to the Qatar Living group.

Joan, yep this will become (enshallah) a regular occurence and I will expect everyone to have input as to the location and the subject photographed, Im still learning myself and really do appreciate input from others.

I used to buy from www.adorama.com. Safe,secure,reliable even with shiping fees+custom charges+legalisation charges, still the price is far cheaper than salam especially for expensive stuff like prime lenses.

Again, to make sure whether the seller is good or no you may click on small icon, normally on the bottom of their page showing "BBB Online", to know about what is BBB-online, just google it :)

Photo Shoot... ...All,
We have returned from a break back home in the UK, this weekends photo shoot is still on.
10am this Saturday (if everyone can make it), no invites are necessary so if you want to come along and take some photos by all means do so. If we could all meet at or near the base of the Khalifa Tower (most prominant place I could think of) and go from there.
Novita no you wont be the only female as Charmed will be there and any members of the forum that think this may be a good excuse to try it on with females think again!!!!

Seaheiress.. ...You are absolutly correct, if everyone can make it later then Im more than happy to delay until say 4.30pm or shortly after, as for getting up early at the weekend....ha ha ha ha ha ha no chance!!!

Photo shoot - Khalifa Tower & Stadium ...Thanks to the people that turned up on Saturday for what was the first photo shoot for QL.
I will be asking Qatari to chose the winner for the day, the winner as discussed will be setting the next subject and the date for the photos to be in by.

Photo posting date... ...All photos for the inaugural photo competition must be posted onto the Qatar Living Flickr page by this coming Saturday 2nd June 2007.
Entries must be marked clearly stating competition_1_picture(number of picture).
Due to only a few people turning up to take pictures on the day I would suggest a maximum of 3 entries per person for the competition, then Qatari will at least have something to chose from.
The winner as previously stated will decide upon the next subject for the competition and the date for posting the pics etc, it will be down to the individual to get out and take the picture(s) and post them in the stated time (by the previous winner also).
All photos must be tagged with Qatar so they can be linked into the Qatar Living website...N.B. thats the important bit!!

QL Photo Competition....Closing soon ...I have asked Qatari via PM to as of Saturday chose the winner for the first QL photo shoot.
Please ensure your pics are in and uploaded onto the flickr page prior to that if you intend to take part.
As I have said before the winner of each competition will set the location/type/theme and date of the next competition.
Obviously the competition pictures must be taken in Qatar and from now on must be taken within the time frame between the competition dates i.e. not something taken on holiday a year ago etc!!!
