best beach club???
Hi there,
Ill be moving to qatar in a few weeks for a year or so ...I am a 48 year old woman and I want to find a nice beach club with great facilities where I can exercise relax by beach and pool and meet other expatriates...any sugestions???

Al-Sharq is really nice. It's managed by the Ritz as well, so expect excellent service and perfect ambiance.
However, if you want to relax by a pool and a beach you can go to the Intercon or to Sealine (fancy an hour drive south of Doha?)
Oh and by the time you arrive, expect that it's gonna be mad hot! Mad hot, we're not kidding.
Anyway, welcome to Qatar! Hope you have a blast!

beach club ...thx fio info...will want to stay in town...do not fancy 1 hr drive to find pool and gym...

Brigitte, there are waiting ...Brigitte, there are waiting lists for the beach clubs here. Your best bet would be to contact some and have them put you on their waiting list.I would suggest the Intercon, Al Sharq, Four Seasons. Don't expect nice beaches though.
