whooping 6K traffic penalties - please help!
i checked for my car's traffic violation as i should have to renew its registration end of this week.
i almost collapse when the traffic penalty of QAR6000.00 window popped up fronting me. i rechecked many times thinking am just entered the mistake vehicle number. But it was clearly my vehicle. I am quivering knowing upon it, as i am 100% confident i am not in the road during the violation time as posted. i am very sure i was in duty at time it happened and my car was in the parking.
Traffic Violation: ------ blank, not stated
Time : ------------------ 11:19AM
FINE : ------------------- QAR6,000.00
can anyone please advise helping me how to remedy this problem.
i would be running out of time as i would have to renew my car registration next week. i don't have yet record of any violations of any offense in my entire driving in Qatar. NOw i couldn't sleep well thinking as i couldn't afford such losses of QAR6000 fines.
is there any ways to appeal for this violation? where should i go? please advise fellow QL'rs. thanking ahead.

yep qatman..that's another ...yep qatman..that's another thing..he has to establish who used his car that time.. bottomline, it it was indeed on the road he has to settle this fine.. :/ 6K, big ouch!

Chewy, I guess you can ask ...Chewy, I guess you can ask them for the picture of your car and ensure that there is no mistake. I have heard many cases where the pictures turned out to be of the wrong cars.

the best is check with the traffic dept. ...6k fine is for beating the red light violation, or you have series of violation totalling of 6k. check your violation first. most of the time they will provide you pictures as evidence. once they produce the pix showing your car... wella.. you have to pay.
also note that your car number issued here in qatar is given to 2 vehicles. one for private and one for public. you might miss this out. check again.

even rhe... ......ambulances of HMC get busted! I saw the pics at the Traffic Department office lat week - unless a doctor writes a letter saying it was on an emergency, the driver pays...If you're living life on the edge, you've got too much room.

Check the arabic Version... ...check the arabic version of the traffic viloation page...
it usually describe more clearly the violation and its place......
if you cannot uunderstand arabic, you can PM me your car registration number and i will let you know...
You have to go to the Main Traffic department at Madina Khalifa South..just before the Immigration Interchange..

:( ...if it makes you feel any better..i just checked for 2 vehicles my friends..which had a whopping 17,000 riyals worth of fine..tried calling him to give him the news of his life but he's obviously in a meeting or so..i feel bad for him,
i checked my mom's car and it said no violations on this vehicle :)

deposit ...Please go to traffic dept. and deposit 1000 qr for checking the filim and photo, this is sure for fine is signal jumping.

DH got fined ...when he wasn't even in the country!!!!
He took his passport with the visa stamp that proved he wasn't in the country at the time of the offence, after sending him here there and everywhere and he was getting nowhere with the traffic dept he payed the fine just to end it!!!

oh my God! isn't there any ...oh my God! isn't there any reconsideration or just to see the concrete proof of evidence that a traffic violation was committed?
i dont have yet commit any single traffic violation in my entire driving here, this would be the first if so proven. and oh my God! first offense, 6K riyals isn't a dirhams and ill have to leave at least a day to settle this matters.

deposit 1000 qr ...if 100% your car is not the violation. Please deposit and check the proof, some times car number plate is not clear the camara and when they are editing may no. 3 is coming 2 and 2 - 3 like that.
