Employment for expatriate spouse

My husband is currently in the midst of deciding whether to take up an opportunity in Qatar. I am wondering if I would be able to secure a job without much hassle. I'm a management consultant and would like to continue working when I relocate with my husband. Would appreciate if anyone would be able to shed some light on the following:
1) How easy would it be for me to secure a job onshore?
2) Should I try to get a job offshore as an expatriate as well?
3) In terms of package and permit, would it be advisable to get a job before i join my husband in Qatar?
Thanks!

you can easily get a job ...you can easily get a job being in your husbands sponsorship. No need to try from overseas since availing visa for single lady woul dbe next to impossible and no employer would do it.
gud luck

Most often it seems you will ...Most often it seems you will get a better package all the way around if you are hired before moving here. Salary will go down if you are "local" hire. Gulf Times newspaper has the best classifieds (online as well).

If you get a job before ...If you get a job before coming, and are sponsored by the company, you get a MUCH better package. Tons of women are here sponsored by the company, not their husbands.
Check monstergulf.com, clarendonparker.com, and then also look specifically at career websites of the big companies.

platinumgold ...You can easily find a job here in your category. I am also in a Managerial position and a Business adviser from another company also under husband sponsorship. If you are as hyper and as busy as me? you will never feel the boredome here in Qatar. Wish you luck!

maruti ...You can always get a business visa or visit visa, but when it comes to serious sponsoring you will have a problem with your visa approval. everything is computerized here nowadays, so it will show on the record. but for your information when you left and did not inform your employer, without your return they will automatically cancel your visa after 6 months, as they need to use it to another person.
