A gentleman would do what is expected to defuse (if he wants a quiet life) ....... what ever the reason, he will admit he is wrong, (when he isn't) apologise profusely (although not knowing why), lick asre for a while ............. and hopefully tantrum will disappear.

I would suggest that wives should come with straigt jackets supplied. These can then besed in "tantrumatic" situatons..
