Hi there,
Could anyone let me know the location of Qatar Petroleum's head office in Doha. Are there any good appartments or villas / schools near by?

QP ...well QP doesnot have any head office not one permanent. i Deal with them at Sadd Plaza also and Ras Abu Aboud too.

QP ...The main office is at the Al Saad Plaza and other offices are in that area, that is where HR is. If you are starting with QP, you are usually in company provided accomodations for three months.

QP ...QP has two main offices, one in Al Sadd (as mentioned) and another one in front of City Centre Shopping malls.
for the proximity of accomodation and schools, Doha is small to a point that you don't need to drive more than 15 to 20 min to reach any destination (almost)

QP Offices ...QP offices are scattered all over Doha, in Al-Sadd Plaza, Royal Plaza, Navigation Plaza, Ras Abou Abood, Dana Tower, etc etc.
If you're talking about "Head" Office where the QP Managing Director (Minister of Energy & Industry)office is, it is in
Q-Building in West Bay (opposite QIC Building), somewhere near the burnt twin towers.

QP location ...Thanks for the location info to all of you, I have been offered a position with QP as Snr Proj Engineer and am considering whether to accept or not.
I have 5 kids, currently i am living in UAE, working with a British Consultants on a project for ADNOC distribution. We have never been to Qatar/Doha except for a visa flight!
The money is not that brilliant but the allowances for education, medical and accom etc. are reasonable. The move is a big issue!!

Try www.wikimapia.org ...Nassah, try www.wikimapia.org its like google earth thru the browser. Most of the places have been marked by locals, so its quite likely you'd find QP HeadQuarters as well.

Couple of things to consider; ...Before you commit to taking the job ... consider schooling. With having 5 kids trying to get school positions can be difficult.
Also, check what QP pay for. I think the limit is 4 children??
