It's undoubtedly a good ...It's undoubtedly a good thing. Al Jazeera has become one of the most respected and reliable international news channels in the world, particularly since the lauch of Al Jazeera English. Although it was criticized a lot by the West (and particularly the U.S. government) in the years immediately following 9/11, it has now become far better understood and enjoyed by those in the West, and around the world. Al Jazeera truly is a great source of international news, and is most definitely one of Doha's greatest assets.
