Fender/Squier guitars in Doha
Hey guys,
Does anyone happen to know where the official dealers for Fender guitars are located in Doha? I checked the Fender website and it says that "Music Corner" is the official dealer for Fender and squier guitars, but no one answers the phone :-s
I'm coming to Doha next month and wanted to check out the prices of the Squier HSS Stratocaster, hoping it will be cheaper than here in UK!

Don't do it! Unfotunately the selection of quality instruments is somewhat limited in Qatar. Before you come over if you are going via Dubai you can get some decent deals and they are cheaper than the UK, but not a significant amount. Good luck with your search, go for an amp as well while you are at it as you may find the same problem.

Shiva87, ...A few months ago I called Music Corner, sent them an e-mail, sent them a fax, but I never received any reply. I guess there's no Fender dealer in Doha. QatarKiwi's right, you can find a few good deals in Dubai. A friend of mine in Dubai bought a '60s American Strat at a price lower that the retail one in the U.S.

Music Corner ...I had an experience to visit dis shop, itz located near teh JAIDAH flyover nearby the Internet Cafe or to be more precise right in front of AL KHIYAM Cafe shop. i dunno whats the name of that market. but once you will reach at the Internet cafe just take a round and you will get to see it. Btw the guitars are not so great, you can check for Yamaha new showroom by Modern home, but i prefer to buy them from outside rather than in Doha as you wont find good quality sound and also not a gud collection and expensive.

I think yeah I'm probably better off getting one from Dubai (as I have plans to stopover for a couple of days), although my main concern is that I already have an acoustic; and I'm guessing I wouldn't be allowed to take two guitars with me in hand. Don't really wanna check-in the guitar as I'm sure it would get damaged.
