Y'know why I'm scared of hospitals?

You go there and check your fever and they diagnose you have some major internal problem and they'll give you CT scans or X-rays or urine test samples or blood tests and they'll give you a medicine that's not even related to fever which will make you vomit even more and your fever will soon be more than just the common virus problem and you'll be brought to the ICU room for ready operation tomorrow and they'll do surgery and they'll let you stay for 20 days and you'll pay all the fees.

All because of a fever. Jeez!

Every time I have been to a hospital here they have prescribed me anti histamines. I have a huge stack and can open my own supply chain soon.

Most of the time I walk away wondering why they gave them to me.. As I would go there for some ailment that wouldn't require them.

Abuamerican, ur so right! I thought it's only happening to me, but I see now I'm not the only one. :-) Doctors here prescribe antihistamine a lot and for no reason, good thing that I'm a pharmacist and I can self medicate myself, if I can say so. And it's also a thing with all arab people, every time u have a mild symptom of any kind, like fever, or vomiting, anything, they will tell u oh, maybe u have allergy, it's "hasasia" in arabic.
Once I went to a pediatrician with my infant to check his ears, because he was scratching his left ear all the time, like a dog, lol. The doctor just told me he has mild throat congestion and gave me paracetamol for pain and fever though he had no fever I said ok, it's good for teething, it will help with the pain. But he also gave me an antihistamine I don't understand why, not to mention that this antihistamine is not recommended under 3 years and my baby was just 7 months at that time.
And all my experiences with doctors in Qatar is just about the same, I have a lot of great incredibles stories but I don't have enough space to write it here.

many physicians and not confident of their capabilities and use all the available technology and machinery to diagnose a simple disease. This is really scary and harmful to the patient.

About hospitals phobia, many patients are diagnosed with high blood pressure simply because they fear the clinic or hospital

If the same patients check their BP at home, most of them will get normal readings

LOL, so funny...same happened to me...a doctor even gave me totally wrong medicine...thank god the pharmacist recognized the mistake and made the doctor correct it...otherwise, who knows ...i would have two noses or gone blind by now.....

A sense of humour is just common sense dancing, sadly, common sense has left the building and is dancing somewhere else.
