IPhone 3G
Do any one know where can I get the New IPhone 3G in Doha!!
Apple website says the 3G will be out with Vodafone. Any ideas when is Vodafone starting here??
One more question did anyone tried to buy from the person that posted his email on QL, I emailed him and he sayed he'll send me the IPhone with Fedex and I can transfer the money through Western Union.
It's 790 + 190 QR delivery but for sure I won't transfer any money before I get the phone.

Once i was almost conned into the same thing but luckily i said i have a friend in your country u can give the phone to him and he'll pay u the money...after that no more emails from this "seller"

Oh so expensive ...As far as I know iPhone cost 8GB is only US$199/- this is price from Apple itself, look at Apple promotion for iPhone on YouTube or Apple site. I don't understand that these phone are sold so high price in some countries and Apple keep on watching.

Apple is stupid thats why they are watching it. Why the hell this phone is only available with plan. They could have sold much more sets had they been selling this without plan. Also it should be launched everywhere to increase sales.

And also, it isn't "QR4400 for a cellphone". ead the tech specs. It is basically a mini computer that has many more options that you would believe. Best money I ever spent.

Is everybody around here a moron? ...It's called research: The price of $199 includes a "2-year contract" with AT&T and monthly payments that are pretty high. AT&T is simply subsidizing the phone. If you cancel the plan, you will be charged the full price of the phone. I bought mine unlocked and it can be used with any carrier in the world, hense the high price. Have you check the prices of similiar phones at Al Jabra bookstore? They are pretty close to the same. The Touch Diamond is about $800, Jack. And it SUCKS.

if you cannot find one, just wait for 1 or 2 months and maybe the software unlock will be release.

well, those people who say iphone sucks is because they don't..ummm... actually they don't know how to use it..
i know one user here in Qatarliving who said, "iphone sucks, iphone bluetooth is no good, iphone is difficult to use.." but now, he is one of my regular customer who upgrade his iphone and get apps from me for free. (he is my boss actually.. lolz.) :P

I own one Iphone already but still I would say Apple is stupid in their marketing. They are expensive for no reason. Iphone actually has much less features then most mobile phones. Take for example the bluetooth. There was no 3G before even in today's world. What about people who bought previous generation of Iphone with no 3G. They are stuck as they spent $800 ~ $900 on the first generation and now they have to spend this amount again?
This is not marketing or getting smart. This is just ripping of the money from wallet of people. I know Iphone is the smartest phone on earth but it still lacks so much. If you like toys like Iphone then you can buy one but if you want features then look else where.

dubai ...i got mine from dubai, fully unlocked from apple, i restored and upgraded and the activation was from itunes, completely legit, only problem was i bought it for 6000 dhs.....but imho, its well worth it

I have the Iphone 1st G ...I already made it's firmware to 2.0.2 and it's working at me fine now.. try to research on some websites and check how they do the unlocking of a 3G Iphone it's already possible now with the help of the Iphone Dev Team, I already unlock a fully working Iphone 3G for a friend of mine, what i did is just research on the intrnet, watch some clips on the Youtube site and 1hr of downloading the required software, and 2 Gruelling hrs of unlocking the 3G.. Whoaa.. I'll never do it again.. heheheh

keshav59, HTC Diamond is a ...keshav59, HTC Diamond is a Windows Mobile Smartphone made by HTC. It uses Touch Flo and is quite nice, I got one myself- but sorry to say it is not up to the Iphone std.
Maybe an Android telephone would be my next phone ?
Hopefully HTC will release their Android phone soon, recent info is that Samsung and LG will wait until next summer before they release their first Android phones.
