Some of you may be aware the Qatar CGIS recently won 6 awards for their work.

What do they do? Map the whole of Qatar!

Their maps are highly detailed including landmarks and street names and has a search function.

If you really looking for Intelligent Map of Qatar or any country in GCC
for Mobile or desktop then visit www.map24.com

It can tell u turn-by-turn driving direction between two points. E.g. if you want to go to Riyadah from Doha you can do that on your mobile (provided u have GPRS) or on desktop internet.

fYI, many banks use map24.com to show locations of their branches / atm .

Its got a really good google maps application.

used to sell great maps and satellite pictures also, they are now across from the City Center Mall, It is officially call the Ministry of Planning and Developement I believe.
