Put yourself on the Qatar Map!
After the interest that everyone showed for the "informal" Qatar Census that we ran on the site recently and the recent post by dweller about Google updating their maps of Qatar, I decided that it would be really cool to have a map showing the diversity of our wonderful Qatar Living community.
If you visit this page you'll see a world map and little pins representing where people on the site come from! If you click on the pin you'll see the user name and picture. How cool is that?
To add yourself, just click on the link below the map (you'll have to update your profile to set where you are from). Adding your pin is easy - you can just type it into the address bar below the map or just click on it in the map!

You should find country names and other stuff on the map now...

Can't find my country on the map ...Hey! The idea is cool but I was not able to find my country. On address bar I have typed 'Uzbekistan' but once I pressed SUBMIT button I saw in my details that the country has changed to 'Afghanistan'. Can you help in that? Many thanks.

Guess the pin size need to be smaller ...It really great to see each other on map .
Guess the pin size should be a bit smaller as it can accomodate just a dozens of pins of this size.

Locating your country on the map ...Well, it seems the address look-up isn't working perfectly so the best way is to figure out where you live is to browse in till you find it. The controls on the left of the map allow you to zoom in or out. If you are in a place with hi-res maps (US, UK and even Qatar) you could probably find your own house on the map!

Awww Qatari? Where's the map! ...Only just found this thread, but when I click on map is says page not found. Was the project cancelled?
