I think I know where Dracula, our beloved member lives:
25 degrees 10 minutes 30 seconds North and
51 degrees 12 minutes 49 seconds East
By the way, this is a place to visit when you get bored. Bats there, owls, snakes, you name it.

it's at least 10 degrees ...it's at least 10 degrees cooler than the outside air. I reckon it's about 100 m deep. Nice place for a picnic. And it's genuine Qatar.

The other day, I had to clean out, one of my windows from those bird droppings that are staining one of my confession Booth walls and window rails.
Well after spending about 3 hours of cleaning my window from all those bird droppings.
I hear this small: "knock, knock," I slide open the curtains and the window; to my surprise, I saw your freaking Bat! hanging upside down.
He was smiling, and told me in this strange accent, My frriendd Pope, "I do have a confession to tell yuo"

I just had a new fresh load of guano droppings staining your window and walls again!!!

Ok, guys, if you use Google ...Ok, guys, if you use Google Earth you will find "Musfer Sinkhole" near the Earthlink Satellite dishes of Q-Tel. It's out Salwa road, maybe 40 km from Doha, on the right-hand side. It's worth a trip. There is quite some fauna and flora, sometimes a Bedouin with camels (He's probably from Sudan). You can take a photo of him for a few bucks. On the way back you should go to the "Singing Dunes", because they are located on the other side of Salwa Road. There you can test your quad skills, BBQ and stay overnight.
If your really looking for the beauty of Qatar, that's definitively one place to look.

no, not necessarily. the ...no, not necessarily. the road off Salwa Road leads to a small village. From there it is "mild" off-road. Rocky, not sandy. For the "Singing Dunes" you'd be better off with 4-wheel drive if you plan to go into the dunes. To reach them, no need for 4-wheel drive.
