Is it worth learning Arabic?

Is it worth learing Arabic if i am coming to Qatar for 2 years? How widespread is English? Will I just look like an expat fool with only English?

If only for 2 years no need to, couple of basic words/sentence are enough... U won't look fool don't worry as 90% of the expatriates don't speak arabic!

It's my 3rd year here I've started learning Arabic although, I've already known a few useful phrases before.

Even if you'll be here for 2 years, it's good to speak another language. ;)

No you dont have to learn arabic, you just need to know some verses from Quran. muslims are more than a billion and just 300 millions are arabs.
