Kerala desert (payasam)
Last year, when we went to Kerala, we had a desert called payasam (sorry if I misspelled it). It was vermicelli cooked in a nice sweet cream sauce. I think it had some cashew nuts in it as well, can't remember exactly, but I do remember it was delicious!
Can I find that here in Doha? If so, where?

Its called kheer..... ...Its called kheer.....and congrats you got the ingredients correct...lol
And its prepared by all Indian, Nepali, Pakistani & Afghani families, especially during Eid.
I wonder if Kheer is also common among arabs?
Indian Veg Restaurants like Aryas, Bharat & Shalimar make kheer but on different days they make different kheer eg sunday - vermicily kheer, monday-rice kheer, tuesday-something else...etc. So you have to make sure that they have the "Vermicili-Kheer" on their menu-for-the-day.

Fatcat.... ...Fatcat....the easiest way would be to ask any Indian, Nepali, Pakistani or Afghani family to make it for you.
Its tastes best when it has that Ghee-like flavour and smell.
