Any school can call themselves what they want. I can call my school the Modern Lithuanian School of the Arts - not a Lithuanian or art teacher in sight.

Unfortunately, it's a case of caveat emptor - as a consumer (and you are a consumer) you have some responsibility to do some investigating, especially as this type of thing happens in all areas of education throughout the gulf region. Ask other parents, get recommendations, if possible - visit while school is in session (not always an option I know).

Your naivtee has been taken advantage of, but I don't know of any recourse unless you contact the Ministry of Education with documentation of fraudulant acts and information provided by the school

My daughter goes to Birla Publi School (BPS) and I am really happy with there services. There staff is more organized (including Administration and Transportation) and the teachers know what kids really need and give right amount of attention to their lacking skills. Atleast this is what I felt after speaking to the Class Teacher for my daughter.

All in all, please don't try to compare education system to that of what you have in your home country. At same time you should also appricate to the pace at which its improving, thanks to "Her Highness". It will take some time for every one to come to the standards, but surly they will improve.

I have also the bad experience yesterday.
I'm invistigating now how we can complain to ministry of education as I know there is an office for cmplaining about the bad performance and function of private schools.
Ministry of education should follow up this type of schools, it's not allowed to take peoples money and give them back bad answers and management.
that email adres is nonsense, if the principal is not able to solve school problems she have to leave her position for somebody who can.

Can anybody help me in find a contact to escalate the school to ministry of Eduation. I already sent a mail to the owners with no hope to get even an answer, Owners who leave the school reach to this level, i do not beleive they will be keen to answer parents escalations

I am the father of two children going to the Cambrige School.

Sadly to say my children have started to come home in unpleasant conditions sweating & fatigued due to the air-conditioning system on the bus not being up to standards.
I have observed the bus when it dropped my children with all its windows open, meaning the A/C was just not cool and you could imagine what condition all the children were on that bus, having the children coming home in that condition increases the chances of them getting sick and missing out on classes which is not beneficial. The other side of having the windows on the bus open is that it jeopardizes their safety, just one sharp turn or push and the children would fall out of the windows.
Reminders were received from the school advising the parents to pay the bus fees on time so that the children would be issued with a pass, otherwise the consequences would be that the child would not be allowed on the bus it also state that it was for the children’s safety.
Well, the bus pass only seem to be to the benefit of the school to see who has paid the bus fees, not for the safety of my children. We were asked to send Photo’s for the bus pass which have not been placed on the card and the most important piece of information which is blood type has not been filled in, now tell me were is the safety in that?
My frustration is we as parents have to go through seeing our children suffering every day on that bus, it also feels that we are on a constant battle to get our points across, I am not asking for much but a safe and comfortable transport service. We need peace of mind while at work knowing that our children are being treated as precious cargo on those buses. The schools bus service is putting the children in an uncomfortable, unhealthy and unsafe situation.
And nothing has changed a year later, who will hear our want. Well for QR 2200 we have hired a great private driver who transport my girls.

This school needs to be looked at all of us should maybe get someone at the Supreme Education Council to come and see what goes on. And the traffic department should make sure that the school buses are suited to transport children.

its indeed very bad school....i went for an interviu in cambridge, and somebody from there stold my mobile phone...most of the teacher are indian and filipino...and they offered me very small salary...3000 ryaly...what u can do in doha this days with 3000 qr? when u have 2 kids...so im sorry, but nice name of the school and bad people

i am thankful to ahalaa for showing true pic of cambridge school. as my daughter was thinking to put my grandson in that school.
