Hi ...I'm also moving to Qatar in few weeks. i did a lot or researchs in this subject. you can always go there and apply for a job and make some interviews. but you must know that accomodation is not easy to find and also very expensive. unless you have someone there to help you, i recommend you make some contacts there and apply for a job before you travel. also you & your hasband may search for jobs in Qatar online www.bayt.com

Well you can come and ...Well you can come and search, my advice for you to let your husband come first, get a job then he can bring you on his visa and u can find a job after
the advantage of this is that your boss or company working at won't be able to control you since you are on ur husband visa, at least one of you would be un chained ;)
Best of luck...

Wel things are complicated!! ...Dear concerned!
u can definitly plan 2 shift in Qatar, but plan somethings frst.
1. where will u live? on average family accomodation in remote area will cost u bout $1000 p.m and above.
2. u 2 have wht profession? is it demanding here?
3. if u hve kids with u, then do u hve a good school? ( u can surf GUIDE TO QATAR in QL site for QATAR SCHOOLS)
most imp of all, do u hve savings with u 2 survive with jobless here.
i hope things would b much eaiser, InshaAllah.

And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt conc ...You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
( سورة الفاتحة , Al-Fatiha, Chapter #1, Verse #5)
And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'an) to Our slave (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful.
( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #23)

Ya Ahlein ...It's better to contact companies before you come and try to find a sponsor prior to coming so he will provide all the necessary things you and your family would need on arrival.
Try job search websites, jobs posted in Qatar are so many.
You can always try your luck and come here on tourist visa, and reside in a hotel or such, yet, it's a bit expensive.
If you can tell me your husband's profession, I would suggest something for you.
Wish you very good luck
Yalla!
