Spirit of Ramadan photo shoot - first winner
The first winner of 2 tickets for a Suhoor meal at the InterCon's Ramadan tent has been chosen;

Iftar Canon by Joe!! Iftar is when fasting is broken during the holy month of Ramadan. Followers of Islam, fast from Sunrise to Sunset during this month. In Qatar, a canon is fired to mark the end of the day's fast. People here, gather to near it to watch the canon being fired and then rush home where a delicious meal awaits them. I tried to capture the canon being fired but the ground shook and also it was SO quick that all I captured was smoke!! :) |

nice interpretation ...this is one of the more creative "spirit of ramadan" photos! nice one - the kids really look like they're waiting eagerly to break their fast!

They certainly would have beaten the traffic ...and arrived home first in line for ifta, had the canon gone off whilst they were sitting on it! hee hee
