Hi everyone,
We are new to Qatar and will be spending most of the summer here. Does anyone have any holiday activity ideas for two active preteen boys?

Luckygem, what age range is ...Luckygem, what age range is preteen?
You have the usual summer activities of swimming, ice skating, visit to the zoo (if you can bear the humidity - our kids don't mind), get-togethers with kids their age for playing...
Anyone think of anything else?

Depends.. ...it depends on their age take them out to malls. your boys will like tthe Xtreme city in the city centre. Get them a membership in a sports club. Call Qtel 180 and ask them for the telephones of the following sports clubs:
Al-Waha Beach Club
Al-Sadd sports club
Al-Rayyan sports club.
Look for some karate clubs if your kids are into that and get them to visit the local malls. Have Fun

Alternatively... ...if they can bare the heat and you are able to transport them myself and charmed have 2 kayaks that can be borrowed (with paddles, life vests etc).
With plenty of shallow waters around Qatar there are plenty of options but as I said the heat is the main problem.
PM me if your interested.
