Why are you here then ? If you do some research you will find lot's of things to do.
I don't feel sorry for you.
I suggest you do internet searches on Qatar, in QL or buy the marhaba book in one of the books stores.

So what I have done. I am little bit adventurous so I can explore new places of Qatar. I have a family with 19 months old baby so I will not explore deserts on my sedan car because it needs 4x4 vehicle. So I made a list of places:

1. Rock carvings (Al Jassissiya, Noth east)

2. Al Khor Beach

3. Al Wakra Beach

4. Umm Said Beach

5. Dukhan Beach

I will just explore these area, I do not know swimming :)

In a nutshell, if you want to be happy, no one can make you un-happy except GOD ;)
