How and where to find English speaking mums with young children

Hi there, I have been in Qatar now for a week. I came out here with my husband and 2 year old son from England through my husbands work. We're here until the end of Nov/beg of Dec and I desperately want to make some new friends! we are staying in Doha, near to Villagio but I don't have access to a car. My husband has a car but he uses it at work all day so I am stuck relying on taxis!!! Like I said, I have a 2 year old son and I am also nearly 5 months pregnant with my second child. I'm finding the whole experience here so far quite daunting not knowing anybody or where to go/what to do e.t.c., so hopefully some of you out there may be in a similar situation and will be able to enlighten me or have a chat!
Thanks
Layla

PM me if you can't find the website or the coffee morning site. Also PM Novita77 here on QL, she organizes a kids and mums thing as well.
