fried kangkong with cuttlefish
400g kankong
150g dried cuttlefish
20g dried prawns
2.5cm piece of shrimp paste
4-6 shallots
4 cloves garlic
5 fresh red chilles
6 tablespoons cooking oil
salt to taste
1. pluck off kangkong leaves and tender parts. set aside.
2. Wash and drain kangkong .
3.pound shallots,garlic and red chillies into a paste.
4. add shrimp paste and dried prawns and continue to pound.
5. wash cuttlefish and cut in to desired sizes.
6. add oil to heated frying pan.
7. fry paste for 4-5 minutes, until oil seeps through.
8. add in cuttlefish and fry for five minutes.
9. add in the kangkong and fry for another 1-2 minutes.
10. season to taste with salt.
11. serve hot with white rice.

Ipomoea aquatica grows in water or on moist soil. Its stems are 2-3 m or more long, hollow, allowing them to float, and these root at the nodes. The leaves vary from sagittate (typical) to lanceolate, 5-15 cm long and 2-8 cm broad. The flowers are trumpet-shaped, 3-5 cm diameter, usually white in colour.

it's a kind of leafy ...it's a kind of leafy vegetable, normally grows in rivers through some grow this commercially. We have this in our backyard back home.

we have it in our backyard,... ...of our villa here in Doha. But we have the chinese variety which have thinner stems unlike the Philippine variety which usually grows on shallow water, it has bigger stem and tastier when cook.

greentea ...Do you know Qtel office at National area. There is a Sri Lankan Supermarket behind that (Neth Sri Lanka. Ask them. make sure you go there on a Monday, Wendsday or a Friday. Air frieghted shipments are on those days.
